Favorite Urban Fantasy Reads of September 2020

Since I’m not writing like a fiend at the moment, I’ve actually had time to read, and have I been burning through some excellent books!  Here’s a short roundup of my three top books for September: Famine Laura Thalassa I mean, you  just can’t go wrong with a book about evil (read : conflicted) immortal gods finding their HEA.  As with all of her books, with one is a wild ride, where you get from the beginning (hated enemies) to the end (lovers forever), and somehow, you totally are on board, despite all the curveballs she throws at you. ...

Bloodcursed Release Plus a FREE Book!

BLOODCURSED is out today, and I can’t wait for  you guys to read this second installment in the Mage Circle Trilogy!!  Here’s a little teaser of Eden and Kieran: Eden reached back to rinse the soap from her hair and heard the slide of the glass door, then two hands appeared out of nowhere to help her. With her eyes squeezed tight, the glide of Kieran’s fingers working against her scalp was heavenly, especially when he added more shampoo. The smell mixed with the steam as he massaged it through her hair. Part of her was relaxing into Kieran’s...

Check out the fourth installment in the Banished Gods series!!  I loved writing these two characters- Hunter and Tyr sizzle on the page, and everyone is back as the story continues. Here’s a  short teaser: He’s the God of War. She’s death’s daughter. After a thousand years, their paths are about to cross again. Hunter Wallace’s luck just went from bad to worse. Case in point? The immortal god she’s managed to avoid for centuries just became her only hope of survival. Destined to a life of...

The Priestess Release Day!!!!!

Today is the day book three in the Banished Gods series releases- and I cannot wait for you to meet Sydney and Mir!  Their magical tale is full of desire and betrayal and love- and will keep you guessing until the very end! Here’s a short teaser: Beneath the final barrier inside of her, Sydney sensed the endless surge of her magic, the restless powerful energy thrashing, wanting out, out, out. Still, the melody danced in her veins, the stones singing their aria, her father’s ghostly voice echoing the music, the words in unison to the beats of her...

Fan Girling!!!!!

I’ve spent way more time than I’d like to admit obsessing over what to do this year.  Trying to fit in solid, productive writing time, plus working full time (gotta pay those bills) leaves little time for the fun stuff associated with writing- aka, the reading part of it.  My plan this year was to attend some author events, just to see how the big girls do it, and had several on my schedule.  My two favorite authors- Karen Marie Moning and J. R. Ward both had big books coming out this spring, and both (somehow) managed to have...

I just sent in the MS for Reflections of Your Heart, book 2, to my editor at the beginning of this month,...
